I have a 1966 440 block that didn't pass inspection at my machine shop. The cracks are 1 on each side, near where cylinders are. My machinist says he could probably "pin" it, but since they are near cylinder barrels, they probably won't hold over the long term with a performance build, which is certainly what I aspired to.
