Without a doubt, Big Daddy has always been mine. As a teenager in the sixtîes he was my hero because of all of the firsts, and cool name. I met him in 2005, and he autographed under the hood of Big Red Ram, now Dallas' car. A couple of years later he autographed the speedometer in The Texas Whale for me.
His museum is on the way to my race in Bradenton every March, and he's always very gracious with my visits to him, showing me what he's working on. While in his eighties, he“s as sharp as a tack, and as strong as a bull.
