So I have been wanting to convert to fuel injection for a long time now..
Tuesday my Powerjection III showed up in the mail.
I had to wait on some AN fittings so I was not able to complete the install until last night.
First thing I must say is that this is a very easy install, and the kit comes with well written instructions, with pictures where needed.
I unbolted the Mighty Demon that was on the car, bolted the new throttle body in place.. screwed in the temp sensor.. drilled a hole
in the exhaust for the O2 sensor, hooked up fuel lines (Had to run a new line for my return) hooked up 4 wires and was ready to fire.
Plugged in the laptop, fired up the software, it seriously took less than 5 min to insert the parameters and it was time to turn the key.
First impression, is WOW, there is nothing like fuel injection.. I have always had to play games to get the car to start and stay running
until it was warmed up (of course no choke on the mighty demon probably didn't help much) but a quick turn of the key and the car
fired right up and sat at a nice loppy idle.. hit the throttle a couple times, and the car revved like it as never revved before!!
throttle response off idle was incredible. I turned the car off just to hear it start again, it was a thing of beauty..
Now unfortunately I do have 2 fittings that are leaking a bit at both sides of the fuel pump.. so I need to fix that before I can take it
out for a real test, but so far it gets 2 thumbs up!!
Yes, I know I need to clean up my wires and wiring now.. shhh ;)
