T5 tremec ford tranny conversion????

Has anyone tried to put a T5 tremec tranny from a mustang in a challenger or cuda? I found a couple ways of mounting it to the smallblock 340 (adapter plate or aftermarket bellhousing) My biggest question is do you need the 4speed tunnel or auto tunnel? and where will the shifter come through the floor? Will the stock console work?
Cost wise the T5 is a fairly cheap tranny and the bellhousing is around $500.00, the adapter plate is half that. So for easily less than a grand you can have a very nice shifting close ratio 5 speed.
