I have a 68 Fury II 2 door hardtop that Im going to start restoring. Im starting with the engine/drivetrain just to get it driveable(exterior appearance can wait). As far as the engine I know its a 318 Narrow Block. Unknown if its a LA or poly, havent really dug into it yet besides clean out the interior/trunk.
What would be a good upgrade from the stock cam? I was looking on Summit and all the choices just seem to baffle me(my specialty is 94-04 V6 Mustangs, which have 3 main cams everyone goes with). Ill be doing a complete rebuild of the engine since all the rings are toast(someone tried converting it to a diesel engine).
Also if there is a cheap disc brake conversion for the front I would like to know about it.
What parts would be interchangable with a 80 something Cordoba? I can get one for a few hundred from my boss(he owns a garage/impound lot).
