i just go a 90 rc with 5.2 tbi. it is running very rich but yet no check engine light and no stored codes. i checked the map sensor and it was getting vacum. i unplugged the electrical connection and it seemed to be less rich and the idle was much smoother. as soon as you hook it back up it slows down like its about to cut off and starts putting out the black smoke. i put another map sensor on that i had off another engine and it still does the same thing. does anyone have any ideas? i smell a new intake and a 4bl. lol! i would like to get it right since this will replace my wifes wrecked turbo minivan since a motorcycle decided to make a left turn in front of her and his insurance decided to total our van. any help would be greatly appreciated.
