1) Bought 300 Hurst for $1000 in 2000 from a junkyard. I finally got around to the AC last week. Replace drier and accumulator, then ran a vacuum on the A/C system using my home dryvac, then added 1 can of 2oz Ester oil and 3 ounces of 134A, not using the correct tools but the cheap Autozone way. Its keeping 25lbs of pressure, (which I find incredible from a 50 yr old pre-me abused car), but as soon as I turn the A/C off, the pressure jumps to 60lbs. Is this correct? I'm measuring on...
Probably dumb A/C questions, but I'd like to know.
