Picked up some trim – pics with Mopars

I drove a couple hours (and $100 in gas) down to this guy's place, who has been listing sheet metal and whatnot on Craigslist for some time. I get to his place, and he shows me a stash of 67 Barracuda parts he has. Pretty good selection, so he says to just make a pile of stuff I want, and we'll go from there. He also has a 70 Dart 340, and an extra ralley dash with 150 speedo. I ask him what he wants for it, and he begins with 'Well.. Ebay says this is an $$$$$ dash, in new condition' and goes on to tell me with a bit of work this could be a 'like new' dash.. well its not like new right now, yet he still wanted a fortune for it. Then I lay down some headlight bezels for a 67 Cuda, and say I don't need the grilles or turn signal lights, that I just want the bezel. He says 'Well, Ebay says these are $600 new, so how about $300' .. Again, would have been great if they weren't all smashed up. The only reason I put them in the pile was because they are better than what I have, but they're still pretty mashed up! This goes on and on, and he says he has a set of full quarters for a 67 Barracuda, which he paid $200 a side. I offered him $350 for the pair, and he refuses saying I would have to pay $700 for a pair? Where did that extra $300 come in?
In the end all I left with was a set of 67 Cuda trunk trim, which he gave me the first piece for free, and then when he handed over the second piece which was in much worse shape, he said he wanted $20 for them. I handed back the mashed piece and said I'll just take the free one, so he gave in and gave me both.

Sorry for the small rant. Just, when I sell stuff, I try to sell for prices that people can afford, to help people out, not to get rich. This guy was the complete opposite. I wasn't expecting to leave there without paying anything, but as soon as he said 'Ebay lists it as..', I knew I was screwed.

Anyways, all his stuff is for sale, since he's moving to Thailand, so if anyone sees anything they want, I can give you his email.
