Hi I am new to the website and my first (of probably many) questions is this, I have a 1974 Plymouth Duster, 225 Slant 6, Automatic Trans, and i am wanting to ditch the factory 1BBL for a 2BBL with A better ignition (a topic i will address in a later post) and both a Clifford intake manifold and headers. I’m wondering who to look at for insuring the cuda other than my current generic insurance company.

Are there any stipulations I need to make sure they agree to?

Do I need to have the car appraised first by the insurance company, or separate entity?

The car will not be driven much for sure but I want to make sure I’m covered for the money I have into it in case some assclown sideswipes me or something.

I also want to know if my fuel cell is going to be an issue.

i started a thread a while ago about 4 speeds vs autos and i think i want to go 4 speed now… I have the 4 speed setup for an a-body out of a later model duster with a smallblock (not sure what spline count it is since its up in storage right now…will try to find out) and i want to use it in my 71 scamp…The car will have a 340 with the mopar 284 duration purple shaft, headers, good intake, carb undecided and 3:91 or 4:10 gears in a 4.89 sure grip…the car will see mainly…

Just wanted to say hello. I’ve see this site before as i love the old A body’s. Decided to join as I just go me a new project in a 68 Barracuda coupe. It needs some work but is a good starting point for my kid and me. This was an addition for me as I already have a 79-300 for fun as well.
