727 trans leak

Dumbass me overfilled (apparently) the trans last week. Didn’t notice any leaks until Tuesday this week, when I saw trans fluid all over the garage floor. It seems to be coming out of the O ring at the fill tube. If I overfilled it, will it cause it to leak like this, or is the O ring just bad? I have never owned a car that didn’t have a clutch.
I can’t run the engine to check the fluid because I don’t have a battery for the car. I can use my truck battery tomorrow, but if the trans is…

67 Barracuda with 44,000 miles ~ thriple BLACK

I have a neighbor that has a 1967 barracuda coupe he bought from a little old lady and has had for about 25 years.

He had to get a lung removed and has been trying for 2 years to get SS disability and is needing some money and has decided to try and sell his Barracuda to raise some cash he is needing. In the last 10 years his wife has went thru cancer treatment and chemo and then him.

If someone is wanting a very nice low mile 1967 Barracuda coupe this is it. It was originally red and but…

Square bore or spread bore?

I think I need a dual plane instead of my single plane intake. I have a 340, .030 over, comp 268H cam, and Holley Avenger 770 carb. 904 trans and 323 rear. Which should I buy for good street performance? Spread bore or square bore? I’m thinking of an Eddie. Thanx

run power steering w/o belt?

i dont like the feel of the power steering, the car tends to easily wander with it. I took the belt off the power steering pump the other day and i like the way that feels alot better.

I am not going to convert it to manual right now or i will never get to drive the car, i will wait to winter if i do it.

Can i drive the car without running the pump? Is it going to hurt the steering box i have in the car now? or will there be no mechanical problems?

Thanks,

Steve

Need a Few Pointers/suggestions

After stumbling around for the last 3 weeks to a month, and dealing with a ton of minor problems and one major electrical one, My baby is running good…(except for a blown convertible top motor, but i am not thinkin about that)…

I had the bright idea of coming home and setting the cars timing to 0 on the timing mark and on the advance on the timing light….I figured I would go from there….I did so and set the idle to 700 ish and life seemed good! but as soon as I touch the gas peddle,…

I really have no idea about hyd. to solid, unless I havent found anything about the cross-over because there is nothing to know. idk. i have found a kit at Mancini for a mech. cam with a mopar purpleshaft and bunch of other stuff. …
