ok heres the deal, i've got a torque converter than fits the mid to late 70s 727, but the tranny i want to use is the older style like early 70s, reason i want to use this tranny is because it has aftermarket goodies in it like cheetah shift kit, valve body etc. i have another trans that came out an rv that's the later 70s that came with my 440, can i just change out the front pump?? and should i use the clutches out the rv trans?? i've heard the rv trans had heavy duty clutches and all in it... or can i just take the aftermaket parts and tail shaft off the older trans and put it in my newer one??
