I currently have an AED dominator carb on gasoline, necked down to a 4150 intake and 4 hole throttle plates. We found out years ago that Dominators would go faster this way. As many of you know, I have, and have run, and going to a Prosystems SV1 carb on methanol for next year. What I'm hearing is that the SV1's do NOT like being restricted down to a 4150 intake like I have now. Seeing as tho I DON'T have a 4500 intake, I have nothing to compare to, The SV1 was AWESOME the couple of times we had it out. We ARE going to an open hole, non 4 hole throttle plate and spacer that should be an improvement for it, but wondering if a $400 Indy head 4500 intake to go with the rest of my Indy Head top end should be done? Port matching would be minimal for a new intake and I can do it, thinking I'm gonna go ahead with the new intake. Thoughts?
