NASCAR Old vs. New

I caught the disgraced former Dodge team owner's TV show the other today.
He had bought a 74 Charger and a 75 Torino.
He did a direct comparison between the Hemi powered (with a restrictor plate) Charger and a modern Chevy SS Cup car.
I would have liked to see them use a different driver than wussy boy Kahne. The Charger didn't fare well in the 0-100-0 or 60 ft slalom because Wussy boy could shift a real 4 speed or steer a real stock car. I say this because that Charger had a skid pad number within .1 G of the SS.
It would have been nice to see Kyle Petty or at least a bigger current Cup driver test the two cars. I don't feel the Charger got a fair shake. It was nowhere near it's limit on the slalom. I am also betting they didn't do much setup on the Charger whereas they probably used a road track SS. It could have been the result of the restrictor plate on the Hemi too. It was a leftover from the France family screwing Chrysler.
