My Challenger Hot rod (physics project)

So I have a physics project this six weeks, and we have to build a rubber band car. So I got to thinking about it, and figured I would try and use the rubber band like a modern day driveline, but figured it would be ALOT more trouble then I want to put into this considering Id have to make a set of gears. So I decided my best bet would be a wind up car. So I decided I would just be the over achiever of the project this six weeks and make it out of wood and make it in the shape of a 1970 Challenger lol. I was wondering if ya'll might have an idea how I should power it though. If I should run one rubber band down the middle underneath from a hook to a pulley, that when you wind the back axle up it pushes itself. Or if I should run it from one hook, double the rubber band over, and run it to two pulleys. OR if I should run two rubber bands separately for maximum acceleration, and probably a "burn out" lol. Also any ideas on rear tires would be happily accepted considering wood, will probably spin for a bit on the slick floor of the science room. Also, the front axle will be fixed, and the rear axle will be on a set of "brackets". So the rear end will be jacked up.
