Ask What You Can Do For MoparStyle

OK -- we all know that is a stolen line from JFK's inaugural speech January 220, 1061 -- but helping MoparStyle get the word out, is to the benefit of all of those who Participate at MoparStyle. I offer the following for you to consider:

• Invite your Mopar friends to participate. In your UserCP there is an invitation system to email to your Mopar buds. When they click the lick to visit, and register -- you will get credit for bringing the to our community. Do you have a spare five minutes? Why not give a little back to MoparStyle by telling your friends of the site and inviting them to join our little community. Click here to see the current standings of those who have referred others to MoparStyle.

• Links on web sites. When you visit a web site that has a links page, and a link to MoparStyle would be appropriate -- please use the contact information on the site to ask them to include a link to MoparStyle on their site. You'd be surprised with the high percentage of sites who would be more than happy to do so, if just asked. You might suggest that they use this banner to link to MoparStyle.

• If you have control of a web site -- please add our link.

• MoparStyle Discount. You'd be surprised how many vendors of Mopar products and services will give you a MoparStyle discount -- if you just ask them. Even if they have never heard of MoparStyle, they generally have discretion to give a discount if given a good reason. Asking doesn't just give you a chance for a discount, it gets the vendor to start hearing the MoparStyle name. After hearing the question "Do you have a MoparStyle Discount" enough times -- the salesman will see that a MoparStyle Discount gets established. Don't be bashful -- save some money and spread the word at the same time. It not only helps you now, it helps other MoparStyle members get a good discount in the future

• If when visiting another board you bump into someone posting on a topic in a general forum when MoparStyle offers a forum more specific to that interest -- PM that person and give them a link to the specific forum here at MoparStyle.

• Contribute your knowledge to the MoparWiki. It doesn't require any special programming knowledge to do so. If everyone would just add the smallest bit of information to a page as they come across that information, it would benefit everyone looking for Mopar information -- and MoparStyle too. For instance, today Richard Petty was one of the first five to be inducted into the NASCAR HOF. So a simple entry of "On May 23, 2010, Richard Petty became one of the first five to be inducted in the NASCAR Hall of Fame" in the "Epilog" section took me all of 60 seconds. When you're reading a magazine article on a Mopar vehicle or person, add that magazine issue to the section of further reading for that Wiki. If you find production numbers to a Wiki needing them to be added -- please take the couple of minutes to add that information. The MoparWiki can be the Internet's best source for anything having to do with Mopar -- but it requires that some more people make a little effort to contribute information. The MoparWiki is not only a benefit to those interested in information on a particular Mopar topic -- it is context that the search engines forward visitors to MoparStyle. The best MoparWiki topics have a dozen or better people each adding a little information.

We all have many chances to become an Ambassador for introducing people to MoparStyle. I hope that those who really care about the increased participation in our community, will make a small effort to help bring our community to the attention of those who will help MoparStyle to continue to get better with age. In seven months MoparStyle will be ten years old.
