Living in a small 7/8000 population town in mid eastern ND is not all bad. We go to a store an are called by name. Have open charge accounts at about any place in town we want with no credit checks, kids can play outside and walk to neighbors and up town with out much worry, can cash a check in ay store with out showing ID etc.. Houses and garages are left unlocked. We have a 100 paper paper route that we deliver between 3 and 4 AM. Many papers are delivered by walking right into the garage and putting on the back step. Surprising to see how many of the overhead garage doors are left standing wide open over night. Our home, garage, and horse tack room actually got locked when we left town for a 2 week vacation.
