I’ve been gone awhile….

...but now I'm back (yes, that was a quote from "The Shining"). My poor car (65 Coronet) has been sitting in the garage mostly, getting started just often enough to keep it running, and driving just enough to keep the tires from getting flat spots. I still have a cam sitting in the box that Fugly ground for me...over three years ago now...and a hard plastic Mopar transmission pan gasket that's been sitting in a shelf as well for years now. I was at an upholstery shop the other day and talked to them about doing the Coronet interior, and kind of started thinking about getting this thing going again.

I've been back and forth to Afghanistan several times now in the past few years and all over the place when I haven't been there. Also got back into dirtbike riding, which has diverted a lot of my interest and time, especially since the place I currently live in is no good for old cars and there're no drag strips anywhere even close. But I should be moving to NW Florida this winter sometime and there's way more to do there. So I'm thinking I'll get back into this car this weekend with the transmission pan gasket job, and if that goes quick, maybe look at getting going on that cam swap finally!

Glad to be back here, I'm sure I've missed a lot. Hope all that remember me have been doing well.
