Ok.
I first built my 383 back in the mid 90s, and back then I believe there was only TRW flat top pistons, and from what I can gather, they are not very high compression.. I am guessing 8 maybe 8.5 to 1
I am looking at the -6 domes KB pistons here
KB Pistons for Automotive Applications
it looks like with my heads it will bring it up around 10.5 to one.
Would the extra HP be worth the tear down?
Rest of the combo is
68 383, 30 over
Stealth Aluminum heads
Comp Cams XE268 cam
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake
MP distributor
MSD 6AL
Stock style rockers
Fuel Injection
I just feel that my current combo should be stronger..
It is in a 74 Road Runner
with a 4 speed and 3.91 gears in an 8-3/4
I ahve a set of 3.55s that I am going to be putting in though..
Any advice on if its worth it, or on the combo itself would be great
