Anyone have - or had, a fiberglass hood that they mounted on the stock lid hinges? My 62' Savoy has an aftermarket glass hood and I have been thinking of trying to put the stock hood brackets and springs back on and attach the glass hood so I can open and close it with one person. The hood has molded in ridges (channels) that line up with the attaching points on the hood lift (barely visible at rear in the photo). These ridges are not drilled and I am not sure of there is steel under the glass or just glass. Has anyone ever mounted a glass hood on the factory hinges? Any issues to watch for (spring tension)??
