Saw a really nice looking Dodge last week taking my wife to work, really got my attention. Friday my son was out by the lot & stopped in to find out the particulars & called me about it. 1996 Laramie SLT 1500 loaded. So I went today, even though it was raining, & took it out. Back to the garage first, did a good going over on the body, compression check, got under it, all the usual stuff. Took it out for a run on the streets & big road. Started thinking that this would be better than trying to fix up the 1990 I'd bought new. Told them I'd only make one offer, wasn't willing to go back & forth. They accepted it & I got it. Couple of minor issues with it, but they can be fixed in one afternoon if I take my time. Going to give my son the 1990 & I'll get the hitch & brake controller new. Don't know about a cap just yet, guess we'll wait & see, but I might see if the one on the 1990 will fit a '96.
