I have a 1979 dodge aspen, fuel guage is not accurate and I have traced it to the sending unit. it is off by 1/2 a tank all the time I turned the sending unit sideways in the tank with the float pointing to the passenger side of vehicle, guage is perfect. The problem is you cant mount the unit sideways. Is there an adjustment for the float or are the stops wrong? It looks like the right unit just not set up right.
