As I put in another thread, been looking at some cars lately. Came across some pretty good Magnum XE's, some Doba's and also a Magnum GT with a 318. After researching about late model B Bodies, I came across info about 79 Chrysler 300's. I knew of them, but didn't know details. After keeping my eyes open for about a month, I came across one in Indiana. Actually, two ads of the same car. I contacted both ads and quickly found out the car traded hands pretty quickly. Anyway, the "new" owner had a little higher listing price then what my budget was, and frankly was going to pass it up due to this. Anyway, since I was in Indiana for work, I went to go see it and loved the car itself, but it was misrepresented like most cars. I told the owner I was looking at other cars and would call if interested. After a few weeks, he contacted me and asked if I would put in an offer. I politely told him based on the condition of the car, I wasn't prepared to pay what he wanted. He asked for a price from me, and I gave a low number that was half of his asking price. He wasn't happy, and I told him that he should drop the asking price and he would probably get more interest in it. Another week went by and he emailed me saying he will take my offer. I was pretty shocked, but picked it up two weeks later. He kept dropping the price, but no one was coming out to look at it.

-35,000 miles - pretty damn cool!
-has minor surface rust on the underside from sitting in a garage that had half dirt, half cement.
-Interior is almost perfect. Hard to find with these cars! Especially leather.
-The car sat for a long time due to the second owner passing away. It was all original paint except for a minor accident that was fixed on the back quarter panel. A friend who has a body shop said he'll be able to tint the paint to blend it in better.
Needless to say, I'm VERY happy with my purchase.
It needs a good cleaning and EVERYTHING needs to be gone through. The oil was soup when I changed it.
