Feedback welcome ’69 300 convert. (not posting on FB groups for privacy reasons)

Hi all,

I am pretty new to C bodies, but really like the fuselage years particularly. Anyway, for what it worth, I am posting a car I bought. After looking around a bit for a 300 convert. I took a chance and went with this one. This is what I know about it. I paid the asking price. And, indeed, it still has pretty good oil and trans fluid leaks going…..see below. he took it to the mechanic right before I bought it. I does “seem” pretty solid as far as the body, except trunk, but hadn’t had a chance to inspect real good. She “clunks” real good when shifting into drive/reverse, but “seemed” to shift “ok”

Anyway, any feedback/words of wisdom is welcome, I realize you guys deal in reality, so ya won’t hurt my feelings (well maybe a little, but I have my box of Kleenexes ready….)

P.S. my favorite color combo on Mopar is red on white. I found this one, though it appears he has another of 16K, so it’s probably gone, plus the only way to afford that one would be sell the other one which I assume I would fall short on getting my $$$ back. I’ll post the ad for the red on in case of interest and in case anyone has time to give their 2 cents on that one too. thanks.
“just curious, can you tell me what the mechanic did?”

“He replaced an exhaust gasket, return power steering hose, transmission pan gasket and filter. He also replaced the sending unit seal on the gas tank. FYI There is still some fluid leaking from the transmission selector shaft seal and the rear main seal.”

One last issue, question for CT DMV (I’m in NC): Hi, I hoped you could help me. I recently bought a car from a guy in CT (I’m in NC)
It was a 1969 Chrysler 300. He told me that it would work the following way:

“The payment was successfully transferred. Thank you. I picked up the car from my mechanic today. It's parked in the garage and ready to go. I had to contact Connecticut's DMV to request a title. When I purchased the car, in state purchases didn't require the transfer of a title, just a bill of sale. I will probably have to mail it to you because I don't anticipate it arriving before Monday.”

However, when I talked to one of your agents they told me they do not issue titles on cars older than 1990. Can you please explain how this works? The papers may not have gotten there yet, I mailed them this past Monday.
