Well here goes; A friend of mine and I are building a 67 Barracuda to play with. It will mostly live on the street but we want it to be able to come very close to 10.0 Quarter miles. Andy wants to go with an overdrive transmission and we are building a low deck 500. I have informed him that he needs to make a few more decisions before we spec the cam or intake and carb system. I think he will have 4.30 gears in a fhord 9". The car will be rather light as most of the interior will get aluminum panels and has already been stripped of all that extra undercoat weight and all the body seams are welded all the way instead of just trusting the spot welds. The fuel cell is mounted and we have the tire well for sale as it was not rusty at all. The car will need some body work later but looks good for now. It will eventually get a tubular k-frame assembly or mustang II front suspension with disc brakes. I will give the specs for everything that I know as I get them. He did buy a set of the 440 source cylinder heads and I have suggested that they be sent out to be ported, as I don't think he can get where he want with it. First step I think is transmission, can we do an overdrive to fit the bigblock?
