Do I need to re curve the distributor

Ok, to start off, This is my 71 440 dual quad motor. I added the dual quads in case it makes a difference for vacuum? Any ways. This is my problem. I was running a Mallory dual point and just put my electronic ignition back in. The vacuum advance in the Mallory went bad. If I hooked it up. The car would die and could not be started with the vacuum advance hooked up. With electronic ignition, The car runs great and my gas mileage went back up. It sucked with out it hooked up in the dual point. I put degree tape on the damper and checked my timing. I am at 10 degrees at idle and 32 at 3,000 rpm. My trouble it the car runs perfect as long as you are on the gas even just a little. If you are cruising at any speed where the car is just idling along, I have a light miss. If I rev it at a idle in neutral. There is a major miss. If I disconnect the vacuum line to the distributor. The car runs dead perfect. Fuel milage suffered with out the vacuum advance with the dual point so I am guessing it will do the same even with the electronic ignition. Soooo, does it sound like I need to re curve the distributor, with heavier weights or springs or? It seems if I can keep less than 15" of vacuum going to the distributor. I am ok. Normal driving I am at about 20" vacuum. It just seems like I need to slow the distributor advance down some. This is a stock mopar ignition set up.
