Chamfer bearings

I have been looking around for a good set of bearings. I either have a choice of the h clevite or v clevite. It seems like the p series clevite are better suited for higher rpms but they do not have a chamfer for aftermarket cranks. What does it take to chamfer my own? Do they just need the 45* on the sides to clear the radius? Not to mention they are a whole lot cheaper. I already own a set of the p series that I was gonna use on a stock crank. Has anyone had to do this or am I being to cheap?
