My first post except for the presentation is a question regarding the carpet.
I am installing an ACC carpet in my -72 Challenger w. auto trans.
I have looked through a couple of useful guides but now I'm confused about one detail:
Where the shifter mechanism goes through the floor there is a rubber boot around it, attached to the floor with a sheet metal ring and three screws.
Is the carpet ment to be on top of the boot, or under it? It would make sense to hold both the carpet and...
