New Guy with a Duster

First off, this is site is both informative and organized: I like it. 🙂

My name is Drake Dawkins. I’m from Starke, Florida, and I just purchased a Gold 1974 Plymouth Duster. The car originally had a 225 Slant 6. The previous owner swapped it for a 5.2L 318 and 3 speed TorqueFlite automatic tranny.

My plans are to fix the small stuff (add a hood scoop of some sort), leave the 318 in it (for now), and repaint it yellow with black accents (hood, stripe, etc).

I’ll post pictures when I pick…

New owner of a 1976 Plymouth Duster

My name is Joe and I’m in Windsor, ON, Canada. I recieved the car as a gift from my wife. Best wife in the world. 🙂 The car needs quite a bit of work. The body is solid but needs a drivetrain. Currently sitting between the fenders is a 318 with 904 and a small pumpkin. I’m still trying to decide what to build for it.

I’m not sure how these cars ride with a big block 440 or a small block 360?

I’m looking to build the car for street use with some drag runs once and a while.

I’m…

Great site

Hello I am from Phoenix Az.

Back in the game!!

well, the Demon’s gone and as soon as it left I knew i would be sorry, (I AM ), but i found a 70 duster with the canopy sunroof, brand new canopy and headliner so that headache is taken care of. if anyone else has one of these let me know, i have a few questions, oh, it was about 20 miles from my house and been sitting in a guys garage for the last 8 years, he drove it 20 miles to have the sunroof redine , drove it back and parked it, I guess i’ll have to haul it home Monday.

G’Day from Australia

Hi all,

I’m in Oz and just registered for this forum, and thought it polite to say hi.

I’ve been into Mopars for about 20 years. I own two Australian built Valiants, an AP5 (’63) and an AP6 (’65). The AP5 is a stock /6 225, 97k miles old fellas car. The AP6 has been modified with a 318, 5 speed manual and rack and pinion power steering. I’ve owned the AP6 for about 18 years, and I bought the AP5 3 years ago to use as my wedding car, because the other one was off the road getting all the…
