73 Challenger 440/727 Driveshaft for 8 3/4 Rear End

Hi everyone, first post here:

Got myself a new project on my hands.
It’s a ’73 Challenger that one of the previous owners swapped a 440 & 727 into.
My current issue is I have no driveshaft…
Would I be able to get away with using a driveshaft from a 1970-71 Challenger for my application, or would that be all wrong?
I was able to find a Mopar Driveshaft Measurement Chart that states for 70-71 Challengers, their driveshafts had a length of 45.60″ and a diameter of 3.25″ – does that sound…

Run Stand

I built an engine run stand to run my 383 since I’m not going to put it in my Challenger…I’ll use it somewhere else down the line. This is my first Dodge build and from what I can tell I will have to use the 727 or a 4 speed bell housing and flywheel to start it. Am I correct or is there another way?

Pistol Grip Shifter

Hi everyone I’m looking to replace the shifter rods and maybe get a new base for my pistol grip. I use to send it back to Hurst but someone bought them out i was told not sure who so who’s the best company to go to for these parts. Thanks

How Much Should I Ask???

I spent a couple of years sourcing everything I need to convert my ’70 Challenger (440) R/T from auto to 4-speed. Plans have recently changed and I need to sell everything. I really don’t know what I should ask. The items I have are:
* 18 spline 833 (front and rear shifter pads) that looks to be nearly new internally. It was a backup trans for a racer and is ready to go.

Will this Tremec fit?

Am considering swapping a/t for manual in 73 Challenger with 440 motor. Other than A833 4 speed,
I found this:
Tremec TKO 5-speed “for Mopars”…. Any idea will fit?

70 Challenger 4 speed floor pan brace cut

My 70 Challenger has had the floor pan brace cut to clear the a833 speed trans shifter linkages, leaving the trans crossmember secured with 3 of 4 bolts. I can’t believe this is correct but have not found anything in the parts or repair manuals showing the trans installed. Can anyone point me to a photo of the correct mount installed?

518 stuck in first gear

I just had my 518 rebuilt. It stays 1st gear. Even if I manually shift it into 2nd, it stays stuck in 1st. What could be the possible causes? Kickdown new an adjusted, shifter linkage is spot on thru all the gears.
