I need a new harmonic balancer for the 408 I’m building and have looked around and found several with the prices varying widely. Just wondering what guys here are running? It’s mostly a street car with a few trips to the track per year so I don’t need a $1000 balancer but it would be nice if it’s SFI rated. What’s your suggestion? Would like it if I don’t have to spend over $150 but I’m not sure if that’ll get a good quality SFI rated balancer. Probably not.

What’s everybody running for a windage tray on a SB stroker? Does the stock type fit ok? I looked at going with a Milodon but on Summit’s site it says it’s not clearanced for a stroker. Here’s a link to the Milodon.

In the pic the Milodon doesn’t look very much different from a stock tray except the louvers are a little different but I don’t have them side by side for a true comparison.

Tranny seems to leak only when sitting. If the car is running, no leaks. But shut it off and it leaves a puddle.

Leak is coming from the left/driver side of the trans. Thinking maybe shift lever seal?? Are these hard to change?

Just thoght I would introduce myself, been lurking for a bit after being reffered to this site through a corvette site I belong to. Name is Mike (duh) from MA. I EVENTUALLY hope to get my butt into a 67-69 barracuda, but for now the wife says no can do (She’s getting laid off soon 🙁 ) Nice place you got here, I think I will pull up a chair and have a beer with everyone if you don’t mind.

I’ve seen a few cars with a trim piece that extends from the back edge of the back quarter windows, over the roof … could have been for vinyl roof cars… anyone got one…????
