Has anyone had to buy an ignition switch, if so where did you buy it and did you have problems matching the terminals. I see many places on the internet but? I am just cautious. Thanks for yur help.

The car is a 1968 Dart, one of the previous owners did some fancy wiring and now you need to flip a switch to get power to the vehicle.

I want to be able to turn the key to the run position and have power and not have a separate switch. The car still cranks with the key once the “accessory” switch is flipped. The car will not turn off unless the key and switch are off however.

As the topic suggests, I have a sad dizzy, that needs some help. I’m betting that it’s the reason the motor got sold, probably never run right!
The distributor is a Mopar Race dist with a cable tach drive connector, on the side. Looks like it was , no doubt, the trick piece of the year in 1970.
Should I spend the big bucks on an MSD dist, or find an old distributor machine and recurve a stocker?
We have guys where I work that are paid to straighten things after heat-treatment and I’m sure…

I have a friend who is installing a 96′ 318 magnum in a 82 Ram. How do you wire the new alternator to the older truck?

I have a 68 Dart w/ a 340. I was trying to fix some wiring issues and the msd blaster 2 coil accidentally took power to the negative and next thing I know car won’t crank. I don’t know If I just missed a wire somewhere or I actually killed something on my car.

This is what happens. I turn the key and the starter relay by the battery clicks but it won’t engage the starter. Is there a way I can manually connect the terminals on the starter to power/ground and see if that’s the issue or if…

Is it possible to swap the wiring out of 70 column-shift into 71/72 floor-shift column?The reason I ask is I was told that the column would fit but there would be a problem with turn signal switch,as 70 has 2 tail-lights,and 71/72 has four.Are the 71/72 brake and tail-lights seperate,or does one bulb do both like the 70?(I know there are four tail-lights in the bumper,but I can’t remember if they all light up or are two back-up lights?).Thanks,Jamie.
