I bought a new 440 engine from Carolina Machine Engines, had it shipped to Europe and drove it about 1000 miles. Now the camshaft lobes for the intake valve in cylinders 1 and 4 are totally worn down. The rockers just vibrate when the engine runs. The rest of the camshaft lobes look and work fine. I used the correct oil (1400 ppm zinc). I did not revv the engine, just a couple of sub-zero starts 500 miles before noticing this ****.What do you think happened?
