Bulkhead connector orientation and location of “G” – ’66 Newport

I suspect I have a break in the G6 grey wire that goes to the Oil Pressure Sending Unit and I want to check for current at the bulkhead connector. There is no current reaching the sending unit with the ignition set to "run" or "start." There is a evidence of repair in the wire where it leaves the harness near cylinder #8, which I think might have failed.

The problem I'm having is that someone previous to me owning the car painted the entirety of the bulkhead connector and all wires...
