bad guys lose

out in my shop tonite late, lots of road traffic, very uncommon. Shop dog pointed out the walk in door several times, good thing cause I'm kinda hard of hearing. door was locked anyway. Hairs raised up on the back of my neck, got out the Carbon 15 (with new today 140 lumen LED flashlite and laser dot, bore sighted in only), after the motion lite had been set off twice. Still thought it might have been my free roam dogs. Called the sherriff asked for a "routine" drive by (I don't get many of them being on the western most road of the county), they said they would. Not 10 minutes later, inside dog went on point at the door and outside dogs went off again

Opened the door, motion lite on, 2 guys in the driveway, their car parked in the dark out on the road, outside dogs had them pinned (dogs are both about 50#, lab/shepherd/pit bull mix), lowered on them, ordered them down on knees, cross ankles, hands on top of the head. The law pulled up about 2 minutes later!

Turns out both are parolees with lots of record of B&E, unlawful entry, criminal theft etc etc etc. They are now charged with attempted B&E, criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, ( he was carring a Jennings .380 cal auto), conspiracy to commit great bodily harm and lots more!

I got a pat on the back, but was asked to no longer draw down on a bad guy and wait for them, told them that wasn't gonna happen and will shoot if need be according to the Castle Doctrine,( 2001), "stand your ground law". Legal in Kansas. Just like my full auto rifles.

If I feel that I'm in imminent danger, I WILL FIRE. been there done that a couple times during my "civilian" lifetime. The last time was when I was attacked bad enuf to get disability, (2001 last time).

PS 5.56 ammo CAN still be had!!!! Just not 5.56 NATO "green tipped" semi amour piercing rounds. I already have lots of them, and bought a dozen boxes more of 5.56 NATO rounds today, non green tipped, @ $2 a box of 20 lower than Cabela's for last year prices!

I'm ready for the Zombiepocolyse, and WWIII. I think, still gonna buy more. Never know, Red Dawn MIGHT happen.
