I was doing a little comparison shopping this week, and noticed they Jeg’s had raised their free shipping minimum from $99 to $149. Their discount codes have been down for awhile now, from about 10 percent to 6. Also, you have to order higher amount to even get the 6. I have not ordered from them for a long time, but am less likely to do it now. Summit is still at $99 minimum, plus with the Nevada location, I get most of my parts fairly quick here on the west coast.

I’m looking members that have them, and what they think. I am leaning towards one, just wanting some feedback.

I’m going through the steering/front suspension right now on the Challenger. Since I bought the car as a shell, I have no idea what the power steering box condition is, and I don’t feel like risking taking it back out after the engine is back in. So, I looked into Firm Feel at a cost of $425, but add shipping in, and probably another $100. At that point I am close to a Borgeson unit at Summit pricing. It seems like a no brainer, to spend the little extra and get a little better ratio,plus…

Any down sides of going Borgeson vs Firm Feel?

We had a thread a couple of days ago about how messed up USPS is. Well it look like maybe Amazon’s shipping department has learned from the pros at the USPS. This is the tracking for a package that is suppose to be here tomorrow. My package was in Oregon less then a hour away, now it shows as being in Texas? WTF !!! Maybe, it is a just a mistake in tracking, but that is not good either. The other thing that I thought of, do they insure their own shipping for damage or loss?…

Amazon shipping will be better they said…

I just found this, I guess it was Ed’s 99th birthday this week. I’m not sure who did the video, but some really cool stories about him in the early days of hot rodding.
