hey guys, I am considering putting a new waterpump on my 360
the stock unit has 8 vanes (motor did come with AC and hopefully will have that again once the swap is completed)
I stopped by autozone and their duralast pump runs 35ish dollars but only has 6 vanes
will that be sufficient?
advanced auto runs “regular” pumps for 20 and high performance for 40 but didn’t have either in stock so not sure how many vanes they have

any thoughts on this?

im prepping a 360 to swap into my 71 duster
the 360 is a 75 (electronic ignition) and the car is a /6 with points

the distributor cap on the 360 is cracked so I figured I might as well replace the whole thing to make the conversion easier

Im considering one of the 2 wire distributors with the module build in

ive heard good things about them, ive heard bad things about them and I haven’t heard anything to make me pull the trigger on one or spook me off from them…

im slowly collecting pieces to get the V8 conversion done
so far I have the 360/727 combo and I have a set of headers on the way
the headers come with a 3 inch collector but im not sure if that would be overkill or not?

so far there are no performance upgrades to the engine but im sure once I get it in and running I will want to get at least a cam, intake and carb
maybe, maybe a stroker later on down the road

I placed a wanted add (I know, bad idea)

for a LA 360 oil pan and pickup

I got contacted by a fellow member who had a milodon 8 quart unit
we talked back and forward for a bit and we struck a deal

I paid him (through paypal) and he send me a tracking number the next day

the oil pan should have been here today but instead look at what I found on my front doorstep !
