green bearing seal question
A buddy of mine bought a 8-3/4 housing and set of Yukon axles with green bearings already pressed on from a guy and the seller said he no longer needed the inner axle seals because the green bearings are sealed. Can anybody tell me if this true or not? To me it looks like the Ford 9″ setup with the green bearings but the Ford’s I’ve seen do still have the inner axle seal. Hello, first time poster here. 8) I have a recently rebuilt 318, thats all stock besides the cam, exhaust, carb, and air cleaner. I bought the car with the cam already in it, so I’m not sure what I have exactly. I took apart the whole front of the motor hoping a number was stamped on the end of the cam, but no luck. The carb is a AFB carter 4 barrel, I think 600cfm, part no is: 9605s. It idles alright once its warm, It sounds real good but I can smell the gas. Is this normal for having a big…
Longer than Stock Wheel Stud
Does anybody know if there is a longer than stock stud made for Yukon axles? I know there are 3″ studs for racing but I don’t need all that stud sticking out.
