318 to 340

I am swapping a 318 to a 340. I am learning as I go . I would like motor and tranny to come out as one…is this the easiest way to go. I have removed the hood… should I remove the front grill and cross member also.

How does the Mechanical oil pressuse gauge work?

Does it just simply check the pressure in the crank case?
All it is, is that little plastic tube. How far down is that tube suppose to go?

Also, suppose you ran low on oil, would the pressure then be at “zero”, or is a mechanical gauge just good for showing pressure, and not a good tool to gauge if you had a oil leak or something and the oil ran low on oil while driving?

Thanks!

Shortly afterwards brother #1 comes up with enough money to buy the other half of the farm (he never…

New to forum have a question.

It has been many years since i owned a muscle car and am in the process of looking for one. Mopar only. I have a friend who has a 72 duster for sale. Body is clean, he just had it painted but the guy that did the paint didnt do the jams or under the deck lid or hood, but is the same color as what was already there. The prep work sucks, needs some minor wet sanding of the clear. The car was from what i was told an original 6 banger, now has 360 in it. the interior is not to bad some cracks on…

E-Cards For The Troops

Somebody sent me this and I thought I would share for those interested. It only takes a minute. I know some here feel strongly about supporting our troops.

**XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL**

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com (http://www.letssaythanks.com/) you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can’t pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

How…
