How big of drain plug are you guys using?

I am trying to attach the kickdown-wire on my 904 trans. with an Edelbrock 500 carb. I am wondering witch gear is the most ideal to use while I’m measuring and cutting outer housing. And adjusting the wire.

Shortly I need to know, step by step, how I install it, adjust it and cut it 🙂
