Lower Control Arm bushing removal

My friend Mark is doing his ’68 Dart right now, his first car that he still has 41 years later. He asked if I could do his LCA bushings for him……So I had some time at work and decided that it would be a good opportunity to share..

I can’t take credit for this method, it’s simply my adaption of how a few people over the years explained it to me.

First off, you will need the following tools or variants of them;

– Ball peen hammer (16-32 OZ depending on your preference)
– Small Die…

Any vintage tractor owners?

I’ve always loved agriculture, as a kid I spent every weekend and summer working on my uncles Farm, and it sort of stuck, so did the desire for a tractor of my own… Last fall my friend Kevin started teaching me a bit about the Ford N series tractors, I immediately fell in love with them.

I spent since then trying to find one that was decent. My criteria was under $1k, preferably with a Sherman Auxiliary transmission and as complete as I could get, ideally I wanted a 4 speed 8N, but I…

Camshaft…..

My Achilles heel admittedly is camshaft selection.

The specs of this particular engine are a 73 440 truck block, 452 heads, standard bore. Craptastic compression (8.2:1?)

I just want to get it running, and healthy. It’s a temporary engine at best…

I’ve toyed with the idea of something along the lines of the 70 440HP cam with .268/.284 specs.

Moparfest 2020 Cancelled

There will be no Moparfest for the first time since 1979……

2020 has been cancelled.

I saw a post on Facebook and confirmed by calling Michelle.

No Moparfest this year…

The virus has officially pissed me off……

Tailpipes…..

Getting to the point of planning my exhaust for my 73..

I’ll be doing aluminized steel, 2.25″ duals from 360 truck manifolds down to a pair of 2.25″ in/out Hemi mufflers, my question or opinion request is for the tail pipes, the question is, do I go 2″ like the factory would have or 2.25″?

A thread of Humour…

During this time I’m sure we could all use a laugh, I tend to joke a lot…. Maybe too much… But I’d rather die laughing then crying..

Anyway, I hope that I can make someone else laugh.

Enjoy
