NASCAR guys have been wrapping their cars for some time now in vinyl instead of painting them from what I've been told. On another forum I've heard of some drag racers that have taken this approach, mostly class racers. They say they'll paint it a color, white was mentioned, then have a vinyl wrap made & applied. When & if they want to change the color scheme they get a new wrap & pull the old off. One guy said his cost was $1,500 for the "wrap". Just wondering if anyone has thought of this, possibly as a way of saving some cash over a paint job. I could see the "Pros" doing it, but not sure if I'd want to do it on a sportsman car. We're looking at painting both cars white so I doubt wrapping will be in my future. I guess though if you have sponsors & they want it a certain way it might be worth it.
