Well Guys and Gals,
I wanted to give everyone on this forum a huge THANKS!
I never expected the forum members to rally around the cause as they did.
To recap...
I was looking for a CARTER AFB top for my Barracuda, because on the last turn of the last screw, of my rebuild, the screw on the top half of the carb for the step up piston cover broke the internal casting.
I sent emails to various shops asking for either a replacement top, or if they had the ability to fix my top.
...you know what the answer from carburetors and more was...
Well FABO members stepped up with no less than five people searching local swap meets and one very generous individual digging through his personal collection of "parts" to come up with what I need.
I would like to personally thank Mr George Walling.
George found a correct "top" for my carb, securely packed it, drove to the post office and sent it to me via priority mail. Total charge to me $9.80!!!:cheers:
Not $500, like Carb's and More, not that he would sell it to me...
