a500 trans, how much power can it handle ?

Thinking of a project, and since the a500 has better gear ratios. And is lighter and smaller. Just wondering how much power it can handle ? The project "may " have a 318/360 and "may" have a turbo. Not a drag car. just a sleeper fun car.
