Steering gear seal kit install

Well my steering box was leaking from the pitman arm gear shaft
below is the Autozone part number
Power steering gear seal kit
there are only 3 pieces to the kit,
Part Number:
8516

the instruction sheet was for the removel and total disassembly of the steering
box, about 8 lines to to take it apart, so no help for my situation.

Here is what I did
I removed the driver side Tire, then jacked the car up as high as possible.
next I removed the outter tie rod end, then I took my Pitman arm removel tool
and removed the picman arm, BTW I had a drip pan under the car, it was
very messy
I swung the center link assembly forward with the Pitman arm attached.
I needed to hammer out the dust covers, so I used an old ice pick I keep in the
garage, Next you have to get the C clip out, then the washer, then again
using the Ice Pick, I punched a couple of holes in the old seal and pryed it out..
I cleaned inside the the area getting any old rubber and dirt out.
I then put the new seal up on the shaft, and gave it a couple of light taps with
my drift and hammer, then I put the washer in and again gave it a couple of
taps. then I put the new C clip in and tappen on it, until it seated...
then I installed the new dust cover...
After that just install the Pitman arm, and outter tie rod...total time was
about 3 hrs.
Coveat... I still seem to have a leak...Of course it has nothing to do with my
work!!!!!!! hahaha
The only thing I can think of is that the "seal" might or should have had
a rubber part to it... The is no info in the package regarding what parts are
there or what they do...
this kit is not on the shelf at Autozone, it took me 3 days to get it..
So I don't really know what my next step is, I'm not going to rush into
anything, sit back and think..
Ok, hope this might come in handy for anyone needed to do this repair..
