8&3/4 green axle bearings ?

Hi Guys:
Iv'e read the do's and don'ts of the green bearings. I decided to give them a try. I figured out how to use grand cherokee rear discs on my 8&3/4 rear . They look great and fit well. The only problem that I have found is that the rear axle assembly seams too tight. Meaning no side to side movement at all. And when I turn it at the axles it takes more force than I think is neccesary . I read somewhere that I should take out the pinion thrust spacers. Then again mine is a 489 case from a 71 truck and might not have them any way. When I spin the axles over they are smooth and noise free. I don't have lube in the assembly yet either ? I might be getting paranoid about the whole thing , but I hate to put it in just to take it out after I learn of a mistake or overlooking of something I could have done when it was out. The axles seat well . Has anyone used the green axle bearings and run into a similar situation ? Or should the rear end turning somewhat tightly be a problem at all ? Thanks Ken:(
