8-3/4 Green to Stock

Several years ago, I found a bare A-body 8-3/4” housing from a ’70 Duster and began to collect parts to make it a complete big bolt pattern rear end for my ’64 Valiant. At the time, I couldn’t locate all the stock partsI needed, so I went with a green bearing setup after being assured that it would be fine for the mild driving that I would be doing with my little convertible. The assembled rear end sat in the corner for a few years until I restified the car, so I've mostly forgotten what all had been done in the green conversion. Well, after only a couple thousand miles of that easy driving, I can already hear the first hints of axle bearing noise from one side.
I recently put money down on a parts car that is supposed tohave a B-body rear end of unknown vintage, but is thought to be early seventies. Over the winter I want to convert my A-body to tapered bearings and I’d like the experts to opinionate on the project and any pitfalls that could arise by cannibalizing parts from the unknown B.
