1973 W200 in So Cal the “Hulk”

Morning!

About two years ago I bought a crew cab W200 with the intent to rebuild and improve it enough to take the family (grown kids) to central Canada to Banff then to Alaska and back south. I chose this particular truck because I would not need to do emissions tests for registration, because it would be easier to repair "in the field", and because it would be a unique travel trailer towing vehicle.

I've already done LOTS of work to it.

The site I've been using seems to ignore all inquiries I've made lately to Moderators and the owner of the site, so here I am!

I've already done a little trail riding and driven it to work several times (70 mile round trip), and it's FUN to drive:D

I'm in Beaumont (Calif.)

On the way home near Lancaster, CA with my new treasure!

The replacement bed after sandblasting

The factory build sheet I found inside the front passenger door!

Getting the steering rebuilt

The 34.5 gallon stainless steel tank I made to remove the 20 gallon tank inside the cab

A sharp eye will note that the grill is wrong for this year, but I like it better, so it stays.

Thanks to the owner and moderators for maintaining this site!!
