Same truck as the computer problem mentioned earlier.
The new Computer arrived yesterday, but the first one they shipped had the truck running great for the last few weeks, but with an internal computer error and Check engine light. Haven't installed it yet.
Ran great yesterday when I parked it.
This morning I went to start it and the fuel pump is making a loud electric sound like it's trying to pump. Truck will fire, but then quickly die.
The leads me to a fuel pump problem, but the fuel gauge doesn't want to move either. When it does it comes up to half tank and then drops off-truck dies when that happens.
I had a half tank yesterday and a kid could have siphoned over night, but when the gauge works momentarily it does go back to half tank.
So Fuel pump, computer, or circuit problem?
I would think with the fuel pump going out, the fuel gauge/float would still function. I do think they are combined so maybe not.
