Well, the change in lifestyle is moving forward.

On April first, I officially became a part time salaried employee of the company I started. The new Owners (a small group of employees) have, taken over.
My new roll is based on 15 hours a week, as an adviser and business counselor, and Customer relations person.

I've been preparing our traditional customers for the change, and assured them that the quality of, and commitment to service will not change.
I've also spent the last few months bringing the new owners up to speed.

They have divided the responsibilities between them, bast on their individual strengths. One will be the Exec, another will handle sales, another will take care of Operations, and a forth will handle purchasing, etc.

The Office staff is also on board, and except for one person, all the employees are still with the company. The one open position was created when it was found that one of the guys was booking service and maintenance work on his own, and using company supplies, equipment, and vehicle to operate his own "business".

I left the decision to fire that person up to the (at the time) "prospective owners". They agreed that it would be best if he were to go his own way. That has been taken care of. It was a painful decision for everyone, as he was with us for about 6 years. I understand that he tried to fined a job with our competitors in the area, but has had no luck. Everyone in the trade knows everyone else, and word gets around...

Anyway, my new position is a week old, and so far, pretty cool. I'm at the office about 3 hours a day and the rest of the time I'm on my own. Of course I still have a cell phone that they can use to call me as needed.
I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised at the decisions and conduct of everyone, so far. I think they're gonna be alright.
