Looking for a 1970 Challenger that's got rust, no motor/trans, some interior (can be trashed).
Can be a factory slant 6, it doesn't matter.
It's a crapshoot but I'm looking to spend 2k or less, so if you've got a donor car waiting to get crushed or you know someone with a "rusted out hulk" and they don't think it's made of pure gold I'd be interested. Located in Ohio, but can have someone come pick it up.
I'll just go ahead and tell a little back story here. My dad and I started looking for the car my uncle had purchased new in 1970 that he (my dad) bought from him in 1979. My parents got divorced in 91 and my mom sold the car (rightly so, she was pissed). I found my dad dead in 2011 and somehow, through some miracle, I located the car almost exactly 2 years to the day he died. The gent that owns it said he'll accept a trade in comparable shape because he's always wanted to restore a 70 challenger (restoring mopars is his retirement hobby, he's amazing). So, that being said, I have been and currently AM searching for a car in roughly the same shape...my only problem is that I know this is what some call a "rich man's hobby", but I can't let it go...so I search.
I know deals can be had, I've run across some of them I just barely missed out on...so they're there, I just apparently have terrible timing!
So with that being said, if you've got something I'd be interested in or some info for me in that regard, I am without a doubt all ears.
